My Vision

As Sheriff I will be committed to leading the Sheriff’s Office to serve with professionalism in all that we do. This professionalism will show in how we handle calls for service, citizen complaints, criminal investigations, school safety, security of the courts, service to the community, use of taxpayer’s funds, in the way we will treat people., and in how we work with community leaders.

We, all, will work to use our resources wisely, using the training and skills of employees to provide security to the public. While the percentage of crimes solved in Bradley County is above the national average, I believe we can improve on this by focusing on solving more of the more frequent crimes in our community. The most frequent crimes are burglaries and thefts, drug offenses, and domestic violence, and they are very much a concern to all of us in our community. We can solve more of these crimes by the way we  use our patrol tactics and investigative procedures.

My Experience

I have thirty-seven years experience in law enforcement in Bradley County; ten years with the Cleveland Police Department and twenty-seven years with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office. My education and experience in all areas of law enforcement have prepared and qualified me to be your next Sheriff.
